In this week’s episode of Ventures, my guest Alex Shalash (https://www.linkedin.com/in/alex-shalash/, co-founder of https://www.metaengine.gg/) and I discuss metaverse infrastructure and interoperability. We talk about how MetaEngine started, the technical aspects of how their platform works, who should build on it, how GPT4/ChatGPT will change the game, and the future of online experiences.

ChatGPT is a new AI chatbot that is orders of magnitude better than anything we’ve seen before. People have been posting stories such as training an AI to be their childhood self, advanced code writing, and tons of examples of expert-level writing and insights.

As I’ve been working on an analysis of how to advise startup founders between low-code/no-code and a simple web app framework (like Ruby on Rails), the key new player here is ChatGPT. Perhaps it is better - or may soon be better - to learn how to prompt ChatGPT to build your web/mobile app instead of building it yourself.
I’m watching this space closely and will be tinkering with ChatGPT myself and keep you posted. Let me know if you have been playing around with it yourself, I’d love to discuss what you are learning.
Have a great rest of your week,
~Will
